Treepz is no longer just moving commuters between Lagos and Accra. The mobility startup has taken on a new role, organising official travel for a Canada High Commission delegation of 15 high net-worth individuals from Nigeria.

The group experienced a full VIP package across Toronto, Montreal, and Calgary, with Treepz handling every detail. Flights were booked, 5-star hotels confirmed, ground transportation secured, and eSIMs plus full itineraries prepared in advance. In the company’s own words, “business trips should feel this seamless.”

From Bus Startup to Global Travel Partner

Founded in 2019 as a bus-hailing service in Lagos, Treepz built its reputation by connecting riders to safe, reliable transport in Nigeria’s busiest cities. Over time, the company expanded into Ghana, Uganda, and Kenya, positioning itself as one of Africa’s most recognised mobility brands.

Now, Treepz is stretching beyond its roots. This latest showcase in Canada signals its pivot into high-end corporate travel and event logistics. What began as a mobility startup is steadily evolving into a global partner capable of delivering premium experiences for delegations and enterprises.

The VIP Offering – End-to-End Travel as a Service

For the Canada High Commission delegation, Treepz acted less like a mobility app and more like a full-service concierge. The startup stitched every element of the journey into one seamless experience. Delegates were chauffeured in luxury ground transport, connected with eSIMs for uninterrupted communication, and handed curated itineraries that covered every stop from Toronto to Calgary.

Treepz described the service as delivering the “VIP lifestyle” for business travel, a phrase that underscores its ambition to be more than a transport provider. By bundling logistics into a single platform, the company is positioning itself as a trusted partner for corporate delegations and high-value clients.

Why It Matters – Nigerian Startups Going Global

Treepz’s execution in Canada highlights more than a one-off travel package. It shows how African startups are stepping confidently onto global stages, not just serving local commuters but delivering services that meet international standards.

Organising VIP itineraries across three Canadian cities demonstrates credibility for a Nigerian-founded company in a competitive industry where reliability is everything. It also expands Treepz’s brand positioning: from a mobility startup solving urban transport problems in Lagos to a travel-tech player trusted with official delegations abroad.

For Nigeria’s startup ecosystem, it’s another sign that local innovation can stretch beyond borders and redefine how African tech companies are perceived internationally.

The Bigger Picture of Tech-Enabled Travel

Business trips often involve juggling multiple vendors, airlines, hotels, transport providers, and local guides. Treepz is showing what it looks like when a single tech platform unifies those moving parts into one smooth experience.

For Africa’s mobility startups, this evolution points to a wider opportunity. Beyond buses and ride-sharing, there is a growing market for premium, tech-enabled travel services tailored to corporates, governments, and delegations. Treepz’s latest showcase suggests that the continent’s startups are not only capable of meeting this demand, but also of exporting that expertise to global markets.
