Black Innovation Summit (30 October 2025, Toronto)
DMZ and Scotiabank are hosting the “Black Means Business” summit in Toronto. Founders pitch live before investors, vying for more than $300,000 in grants and investments. The top 25 receive tailored advisory sessions, followed by a public pitch day. Nominations are open for Black entrepreneurs aged 18–29 to compete for youth grants worth $25,000. Apply by 22 August.
Roadmap to Billions Toronto (5-6 October 2025)
Organised by Black Women Talk Tech with Accelerate Auto, this conference is built for Black women founders. Expect curated sessions, mentor marketplaces and funding pitches. Attendees gain strategic insight and peer networks from leaders at PwC, General Motors, Export Development Canada and more.
BITCON 2025 (3-4 October 2025)
BITCON gathers Black tech professionals and founders for hands-on workshops, networking and industry panels. If you’re looking to grow your career or startup within a supportive environment, this is essential.
Black Tech Week North (Early November 2025)
Obsidi powers city‑level activations—workshops, mixers and roundtables—that lead into the flagship BFUTR Summit. Regional events create momentum in communities, expanding opportunities and preparing attendees for the big stage.
BFUTR Global Tech Summit (6-7 November 2025, Mississauga)
One of the largest global gatherings of Black tech talent and allies, BFUTR draws more than 20,000 attendees. Expect immersive networks, partner lounges, exhibitions and curated panels aimed at scaling founders and leaders across tech and business.
Black Tech Saturdays (30 August, 26-27 September 2025)
This informal series begins with “Founders on the Fairway,” a golf clinic for founders, and continues with Detroit’s Digital Empowerment Summit. Promises an immersive tech community event for founders, creatives and professionals.
IBET PhD Project Fellowship Events (2025, year-round)
The IBET PhD Project tackles academia’s representation gap by offering up to $30,000 annually for Black and Indigenous engineering PhD students, with mentoring and research networking across 18 Canadian universities. Events include fellow meetups and an annual conference.
